On March 23, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a relevant notice pointing out that, in order to implement the Fourteenth Five Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of the People's Republic of China and the Outline of Vision Goals for 2035, and promote additive manufacturing to better serve economic and social development, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently organized the collection of typical application scenarios for additive manufacturing to form replicable and referential results, and guide user units to strengthen cooperation with additive manufacturing enterprises, R&D and application of special materials, equipment and application technology solutions for additive manufacturing that are more suitable for the needs of the industry and more advanced and applicable.

The application scenario solicitation plan launched earlier by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology aims to further the application and development of 3D printing technology in many fields in China. It encourages the use of safe and controllable new materials, new equipment and new schemes in relevant fields, shortens the development cycle, improves product performance, reduces manufacturing costs, saves material energy consumption and improves production efficiency, and forms a new business model of additive manufacturing that can be replicated and promoted. Relevant participating units are also in the leading position in their fields, and can share application experience, which will undoubtedly promote the implementation and application of technology.
